Temporal Lift vs Brow Lift: What Is the Difference?
Temporal lift planning emphasizes the temple and outer brow; brow lift planning considers the brow and forehead more broadly. The terms can overlap.

A temporal lift focuses discussion on the temple and outer brow, while a brow lift considers eyebrow position and its relationship with the forehead more broadly. A temporal approach can be part of brow-lift planning. The names do not describe two universally separate operations, and neither label establishes which option suits you.
Compare the intended area, not a promised effect
RTT's Temporal Lift page emphasizes the outer-brow and temple region. The Brow Lift page covers a wider brow-position discussion. These descriptions help organize a consultation; they do not specify an incision, a technique or a fixed amount of lift.
If the upper eye area feels heavy, ask the clinician which structures contribute. A wish to change the outer brow is not automatically the same as a concern about upper-lid skin. Bring your own priorities rather than selecting the most attractive procedure name.
Questions that reveal the scope of a plan
- Where is the proposed change intended: mainly the outer brow, or a broader brow/forehead relationship?
- How do brow position and eyelid appearance relate in my case?
- What would not change, even if the proposed treatment went as planned?
- Which technique is being proposed, why, and what are its risks and alternatives?
- How would the plan affect aftercare, review appointments and travel arrangements?
The answers should explain your plan without relying on before-and-after photographs of another person. A reference image can help describe a preference, but it cannot establish suitability or predict a matching outcome.
Preliminary review and the in-person decision
RTT uses photos and medical history to prepare a preliminary discussion. The final individualized plan depends on consultation and examination. Mention earlier facial procedures and relevant symptoms so the discussion does not focus solely on appearance.
Request a written quotation that names the proposed scope and explains what is included. Do not assume a shorter procedure name means a smaller intervention, a shorter stay or fewer follow-ups. The Patient Journey explains the coordination context, including accommodation and transfer planning in Antalya; clinical instructions remain individualized.
Recovery and expectations
Ask about the early recovery phase separately from the later settling of appearance. The name “temporal” alone cannot provide a return-to-work date or permission to fly. Follow-up timing and activity guidance should come from the clinician responsible for your care.
For related terminology, the eye-shape comparison explains why an aesthetic label is not a complete surgical plan. Browse the Facial Aesthetics hub, then request an assessment with a clear description of the area that concerns you.

These general resources support consultation and recovery questions, not a claim that the two labels have standardized technical boundaries.
