Find your bearings
Think in areas, not a checklist: Kaleiçi for the old town, Konyaaltı to the west for the waterfront, and Lara to the southeast for another stretch of coast. Choose one area rather than trying to fit the city into an afternoon.

02 / KALEİÇİ
Kaleiçi. Start with the small streets.
Hadrian’s Gate introduces the old town; the historic harbour sits below it. Between them are streets of traditional houses, cafés and small shops.
For companions: leave room for a coffee stop rather than a packed route. Ask about steps and access before choosing a meeting place; “near the harbour” is not a precise pickup address.

Two ways to meet the Mediterranean
Konyaaltı and Lara are different coastal areas, not interchangeable hotel locations. Before arranging a visit, check the actual address and journey back. A waterfront view is an idea for a companion or another trip — not permission to swim, sunbathe or exercise after treatment.

Düden: choose the right waterfall
Lower Düden, also called Karpuzkaldıran, meets the sea on the Lara side. Upper Düden is inland in Kepez. Confirm which location you mean before booking transport; they are not the same stop.

A companion’s day can be their own.
An old-town visit or a meal out can give a companion a change of scene. First agree when you need them nearby, how you will stay in contact and how they will return. Keep clinical appointments and agreed support responsibilities clear; do not assume the patient can join.

A small dining shortlist, not a ranking or a recovery diet. Confirm availability, the current menu and any dietary needs directly with the restaurant. These are independent venues, not stated package inclusions or RTT partners.

The Kekova coast belongs to the wider Antalya region, not a quick city-centre detour. Keep it as inspiration for a separate leisure visit, with time to research transport and local access.

- A separate history day: choose Perge or Aspendos, subject to current access and transport.
- A future trip: research Termessos independently rather than adding it to a treatment stay.
A few useful details
- Save your accommodation’s full address and a map pin; a district name is not enough.
- Check opening arrangements, transport and reservations shortly before leaving. This guide does not promise live availability.
- Tell your coordinator about plans that affect agreed transfers or appointments. Leisure transport is not automatically included.
- Keep any activity conditional on your individual clinical instructions. No outing here is a post-operative recommendation.
