For a first rhinoplasty trip, knowing the surgeon’s name is only part of planning. If you are researching Harun Acıpayam from the UK or elsewhere, clarify where the consultation, operation and postoperative reviews would take place, and who is responsible at each stage. A clinic address alone does not answer all three questions.

What the current professional record supports
Mediface identifies Acıpayam as an ENT and head-and-neck surgery specialist and records specialist training at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, completed in 2017. Its biography mentions his Antalya clinic and Private Mediface Medical Centre. These are background statements; they do not confirm the operating facility for your date. The independent Acıpayam profile separates those roles.
Draw the route before booking it
On one page, write “consultation”, “operation”, “early review” and “return home”. Under each, leave space for the location, responsible clinician and information you still need. Ask the treating service to confirm the actual arrangements. Do not substitute a training hospital from a biography for the hospital where your surgery would occur.
If an initial consultation is online, ask when you will meet the operating surgeon in person and how an altered plan would be discussed. Leave time to consider the explanation. A travel itinerary should support the medical decision, rather than force it because a return flight is already fixed.
Understand the first-rhinoplasty plan
Acıpayam’s official primary-rhinoplasty page describes an open approach and ultrasonic bone instrumentation. These are practice-reported techniques, not proof that every patient needs the same procedure. Ask which parts of your planned operation involve reshaping, whether breathing concerns need additional assessment and what limits apply to your goals.
Our open and closed guide supplies background terminology. Keep that technique discussion separate from the question of where and by whom care will be delivered.
Plan the return journey around review
Ask which checks must happen before departure, who makes the individual travel decision and what happens if your stay needs to change. Avoid treating a hotel package length as medical clearance. Our article on staying in Turkey after rhinoplasty explains the general planning issue without assigning you a fixed stay.
For care after returning home, clarify who can assess a concern that needs examination, how relevant records would be shared, and what costs or travel would be your responsibility. Do not assume a UK follow-up service exists because a clinic accepts UK patients. NHS guidance on cosmetic surgery abroad recommends clarifying aftercare arrangements before treatment.
Keep your own practical record
Retain the agreed locations, names of responsible clinicians, review arrangements and written treatment summary privately. A companion can help with logistics, but the medical explanation and consent should still be understandable to you. The result of your research should be a clear care plan, not simply a collection of addresses.
