Education and professional background
- Hospital-reported training
Hospital-reported training
Ekol names Ege University medical training, study periods at Ohio State and St. Luke’s–Roosevelt, and associate professorship in 2012. These reported educational visits should not be read as current US employment.

A broader ENT context
The hospital lists rhinoplasty, sinus surgery, head-and-neck and thyroid surgery, and ear microsurgery among his interests. A list of interests is a starting point for questions about current services, not confirmation that every procedure suits a particular patient.

What does the practice focus on?
Shape and breathing deserve separate goals
If you are considering nasal surgery with Çallı, bring a short description of both your appearance concerns and any breathing symptoms. Ask which findings explain each problem and which parts of the proposed operation address them. A nasal or sinus diagnosis should not be assumed from an online photograph, and a cosmetic goal does not explain an ENT treatment plan.
Use research to ask about aftercare
His coauthored rhinoplasty study concerns early postoperative symptoms. Use that topic to ask for your own written aftercare instructions and the route for a clinical review if recovery differs from expectations. Do not copy a study protocol or another patient’s cooling routine without your treating team’s instructions.

Clinical interests & published evidence
Evidence reviewed:
What the cooling study does and does not show
PubMed lists C. Calli with O. Kayiran on a 2016 randomized, observer-blinded study of periorbital cooling after rhinoplasty. It investigated pain, swelling and bruising. This supports a research interest in recovery; it does not supply a surgeon-specific long-term satisfaction score, revision rate or guarantee about your recovery.

UK-facing hospital information, individual checks
Ekol publishes English information, a UK contact number and German and French language options. These are hospital-level international access signals, not evidence of Çallı’s popularity or language fluency. A hospital enquiry channel does not confirm who will consult, operate or provide follow-up. Establish those names and the actual consultation language before relying on travel arrangements.

Understanding nasal surgery
Different goals. One carefully considered plan.
A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.
Form
What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?
Breathing
Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?
History
How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?
Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

Rhinoplasty: the external shape
Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.
NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
Septoplasty: the internal partition
The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

Revision: understand the earlier operation
If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts
Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.
Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.
This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.
- 01
Initial care
Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.
- 02
Early review
Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.
- 03
Ongoing healing
Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.
- 04
Continued follow-up
Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.

Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.
Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity
Separate hospital reviews from surgeon evidence
When reading Çağlar Çallı reviews, check that the account names him and describes the relevant operation. Hospital comments about transfers, rooms or unrelated treatments cannot measure his rhinoplasty outcomes. Reddit or RealSelf may help you formulate questions; a “botched” search term does not prove an allegation. Look for dated follow-up and distinguish the writer’s experience from a clinical explanation.

Compare the named operation and exclusions
No current personal price is verified here. For Çallı, ask whether a hospital quote names the operating surgeon and distinguishes cosmetic nasal work from functional or sinus treatment. Request separate detail for anaesthesia, hospital care, medicines, scheduled checks, extra nights and unplanned review. A package amount is not a promise that every later expense is covered.

Verify the person behind the account
An Instagram post from a hospital may feature several clinicians. Check whether Çallı is identified as the surgeon and whether photos are comparable and dated. A WhatsApp contact channel is not a patient discussion group. No group is verified here; before joining one, establish its administrator, commercial links and privacy rules rather than treating invitations as clinical endorsement.
