Independent doctor profile

Prof. Dr. Selçuk İnanlı

Selçuk İnanlı appears on Marmara University’s ENT academic roster and in the IBCFPRS certification register. His record combines ENT specialist training with a facial plastic surgery credential. This independent guide distinguishes those records from clinic descriptions of remote assessment and travel planning.

Education and professional background

  1. 1990–1995

    ENT specialist training

The Eastern Mediterranean University personnel record identifies ENT specialist training at Marmara from 1990 to 1995. Its medical-education fields use mixed labels, so this guide does not infer a separate research PhD from the earlier medical study entry.

  2. 2018

    A separate facial surgery credential

IBCFPRS records certification in 2018 with dual EBCFPRS certification. The current Marmara roster separately lists him among ENT professors. These support different aspects of the professional record; neither is proof of medical licensing in the United States.

What does the practice focus on?

01

Remote assessment has limits

The clinic’s appointment information describes remote assessment and travel-related planning. Treat these as provider descriptions. Photographs cannot confirm every functional finding, and the operating facility, in-person assessment and follow-up responsibilities need confirmation for the individual plan.

Clinical interests & published evidence

Evidence reviewed:

Published nasal-tip work

The supplied source review identifies a 2010 Journal of Craniofacial Surgery paper on nasal-tip suspension, indexed as PMID 20485070. This supports a research interest in tip support. It does not show that one suspension method suits every nose or establish a current practice-wide result rate.

Describe overseas experience precisely

The supplied biography review describes the Harvard experience as observation. An observational visit should not be promoted as a completed fellowship, an American licence or permission to practise abroad. Ask about the treating surgeon and local facility for the actual proposed operation.

Understanding nasal surgery

Different goals. One carefully considered plan.

A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.

Three questions for an individual assessment
01

Form

What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?

02

Breathing

Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?

03

History

How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?

Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

01

Rhinoplasty: the external shape

Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.

02

Septoplasty: the internal partition

The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

03

Revision: understand the earlier operation

If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts

Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.

Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.

This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.

  1. 01

    Initial care

Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.

  2. 02

    Early review

Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.

  3. 03

    Ongoing healing

Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.

  4. 04

    Continued follow-up

Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery

Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.

Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity

Check the operation behind the review

No independently validated rhinoplasty review dataset was established in this review. A nasal-tip publication cannot verify a Reddit narrative or RealSelf rating. Look for the exact operation, follow-up interval, revisions and any referral incentive before drawing conclusions from an account.

  • Publication record · Nasal-tip suspension, 2010 — PMID 20485070; supplied review 10 October 2026

Make a remote estimate explicit

No current fixed surgical price was verified. If an estimate follows a remote assessment, ask what can change after examination. Obtain the operating facility, anaesthesia, follow-up, cancellation terms and any accommodation or transfer arrangements in writing rather than assuming a travel package.

Appointment information does not validate a group

An appointment page and a board entry do not authenticate private Instagram messages or WhatsApp administrators. No account or patient group is designated here. Confirm who receives your photographs, why they need them and whether a referral payment influences the recommendation.
