Measuring blockage before deciding what to treat
Özlem Önerci Çelebi is identified with Koç University Hospital in Istanbul by her institutional CV and the ENT journal’s editorial affiliation. Her nasal-obstruction and allergic-rhinitis publications offer a specific route into functional questions. Current cosmetic-rhinoplasty availability is not established by those records and should be confirmed before considering travel.

Confirm the service before planning surgery
Evidence reviewed:
Verify the requested service before a travel decision
The verified record supports ENT identity, nasal research and laryngology training; it does not confirm a current primary or revision cosmetic-rhinoplasty service. First ask whether she evaluates your particular functional concern and whether a separate facial-plastic opinion is appropriate. Do not infer a surgical booking from a research paper or academic profile.

A measurement study is not a rhinoplasty outcome study
The NOSE validation concerns the reliability of a symptom instrument in Turkish. It cannot show that Çelebi performs a particular cosmetic technique or predict satisfaction after reshaping. For international patients, ask which language version will be used consistently and how the recorded symptoms affect treatment choices.

Symptom measurement and mucosal causes
Measure the symptom without mistaking a score for diagnosis
Her Turkish NOSE validation compared 50 patients with septal deviation and obstruction with 50 healthy subjects. It supports discussion of a symptom instrument, not the choice of an aesthetic operation. Ask which validated language version could document your symptoms consistently and how the result would be combined with examination to locate structural or mucosal causes.
Do not fold rhinitis into a cosmetic explanation
Her allergic-rhinitis paper examines an intranasal Schirmer test alongside symptoms and treatment response. For blockage with discharge, dryness or variable symptoms, ask how mucosal disease is distinguished from structural narrowing and whether it should be treated first. This research is not evidence that the test is required for every patient or that surgery will resolve allergy.

What a symptom questionnaire cannot decide
Where is the doctor based?
Istanbul, Turkey
What is the doctor’s specialty?
ENT · Nasal-obstruction research and laryngology training
Does a NOSE questionnaire decide whether I need cosmetic surgery?
It records the patient’s experience of obstruction and can support consistent symptom follow-up. Ask which validated language version is suitable and how the result will be combined with examination of structural and mucosal causes. The validation study neither establishes a cosmetic indication nor confirms that Çelebi currently offers that operation.
Can I book this doctor through Rhinoplasty Team Turkey?
No. This is an independent information page. Rhinoplasty Team Turkey does not arrange consultations or treatment with this doctor.

Koç affiliation and distinct international training roles
- Professional record
Başkent medicine and Hacettepe ENT training
The university-hosted CV records her medical degree at Başkent, ENT residency at Hacettepe and Koç University Hospital from 2024. A separate professional-society announcement documents her associate-professor qualification. This supports identity and chronology, not a ranking or evidence of the volume of any particular operation.

International training has distinct roles
The CV lists a laryngology clinical fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and separate observer or visiting-physician appointments. IFOS 2026 lists her as Young IFOS Group secretary. Keep these roles distinct: international training and congress participation do not mean current US or European clinical practice, or guaranteed language support.

Verify the consultation type before cost or social contact
Match a review to the service actually received
A review of voice care or nasal-allergy assessment cannot establish a cosmetic-rhinoplasty service. For a report attributed to Özlem Önerci Çelebi, identify the institution and consultation type first. A NOSE questionnaire mentioned by a patient records symptoms; it does not authenticate a reshaping operation or justify inferring a cosmetic result.

Confirm clinical scope before asking for a rhinoplasty price
No current personal rhinoplasty price or international package is verified. First establish whether the requested procedure is offered and which clinician would perform it. An ENT assessment, symptom testing, voice consultation and cosmetic surgery are different services; a written quotation should identify the actual scope, facility and follow-up rather than combine them by assumption.

Use institutional identity for social verification
The university CV and journal affiliation are identity anchors. This review did not authenticate a personal Instagram account, WhatsApp contact or official patient WhatsApp group. Check the institutional recipient and submission process before sharing files; a profile mentioning Massachusetts Eye and Ear or IFOS does not prove authorization to receive your records.

Understanding nasal surgery
Different goals. One carefully considered plan.
A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.
Form
What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?
Breathing
Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?
History
How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?
Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

Rhinoplasty: the external shape
Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.
NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
Septoplasty: the internal partition
The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

Revision: understand the earlier operation
If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts
Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.
Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation
Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.
This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.
- 01
Initial care
Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.
- 02
Early review
Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.
- 03
Ongoing healing
Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.
- 04
Continued follow-up
Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery
Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.
Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.
