Independent doctor profile

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Enöz

Murat Enöz is an ENT surgeon in Bakırköy, Istanbul, whose English practice material covers primary and revision rhinoplasty alongside functional nasal problems. His writing places particular emphasis on the relationship between nasal support, skin and previous surgery. This independent profile uses those topics to help structure a consultation, rather than treating a technique description or patient photograph as a prediction.

Education and professional background

  1. Medical and ENT education

    Medical and ENT education

His English CV records medical graduation at Istanbul University in 2001 and ENT specialist training there from 2001 to 2005.

  2. From hospital work to private practice

From hospital work to private practice

The CV lists Safa Hospital in 2007–2010, Memorial Hizmet in 2010–2013 and private practice in Bakırköy from 2013. These are attributed career dates; this review does not establish a current university appointment.

02

What does the practice focus on?

01

The instrument and the whole plan

Enöz describes a preference for micromotor-assisted open rhinoplasty and discusses ultrasonic tools. Ask which part of your operation needs bone shaping and which concerns require cartilage or airway work. A device name does not explain the extent of tissue change, the limits imposed by skin or the alternatives in your particular anatomy.

02

Bring the history of the nose

His current practice presents revision surgery and tip refinement. For a second or later procedure, build a timeline of previous operations, symptoms and what changed after each intervention. Ask what can be established from examination and records, what remains uncertain and which goals may conflict. Agree priorities before discussing a particular contour.

Clinical interests & published evidence

Evidence reviewed:

Nasal symptoms and sleep questions

Enöz and Gözeler authored the indexed letter “Nasal resistance and OSA” in 2006. This is a discussion of airway physiology, not a trial of cosmetic rhinoplasty outcomes. If snoring or sleep symptoms accompany a shape concern, ask whether they require a separate assessment and how any nasal intervention fits the wider care plan.

English resources, individual travel arrangements

His English information and English-language publication establish international visibility. They do not establish appointments in Britain or clinical support in German or French. The contact page describes remote enquiries; before travel, confirm the assessment language, written consent, hospital and route to an in-person review after returning home. A message exchange is not a substitute for examination.

Understanding nasal surgery

Different goals. One carefully considered plan.

A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.

Three questions for an individual assessment
01

Form

What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?

02

Breathing

Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?

03

History

How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?

Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

01

Rhinoplasty: the external shape

Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.

NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)

02

Septoplasty: the internal partition

The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

03

Revision: understand the earlier operation

If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts

Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.

Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.

This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.

  1. 01

    Initial care

Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.

  2. 02

    Early review

Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.

  3. 03

    Ongoing healing

Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.

  4. 04

    Continued follow-up

Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery

Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.

Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity

Separate different treatment histories

For Murat Enöz reviews on Reddit or RealSelf, distinguish primary rhinoplasty, multiple revisions and functional nasal treatment. Compare the starting problem, procedure and follow-up interval rather than photographs alone. “Botched” is a search expression, not a diagnosis or proof of fault. This profile verifies no individual allegation, rating or complication rate.

Date the quote and define the reconstruction

A price appearing in an older Enöz article is not a confirmed current quote for your nose. Ask for the proposed procedure and any graft-related work to be itemised with hospital, anaesthesia and follow-up. Clarify what happens to the total if examination changes the plan, the stay is extended or a later in-person assessment is needed.

  • Editorial research guidance · Rhinoplasty Team Turkey — consultation and online research guidance, 16 October 2026

Distinguish practice messaging from patient groups

An Instagram gallery or WhatsApp conversation bearing Enöz’s name should be checked against the practice’s current identity before sharing personal material. No patient group, administrator or invitation is verified here. Ask who receives medical documents and who makes clinical decisions. Group anecdotes cannot authenticate a contact or replace your own consultation; Rhinoplasty Team Turkey does not book this doctor.
