Education and professional background
- Background
Medical and specialist education
His biography names Istanbul University’s Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and specialist training at Taksim Training and Research Hospital. It dates his associate professorship to 2014 and professorship to 2020. These are attributed biographical statements, not an independent credential audit.

A broader ENT background
The practice lists interests extending beyond nose reshaping to tonsil and adenoid disorders, vertigo and prominent-ear correction. Its publication list also covers voice, hearing and nasal airflow. This breadth helps frame a consultation; it does not establish expertise for every individual problem.

What does the practice focus on?
Revision: reconstruct the previous operation
Çelebi’s revision page discusses scarring, loss of support and possible cartilage grafting. Bring a timeline of earlier surgery and ask what can be assessed from records versus examination. Request a clear explanation of the proposed donor site, remaining uncertainty and realistic limits before comparing quotations.
Breathing and appearance need separate goals
His functional-rhinoplasty material addresses obstruction and septal deviation alongside shape. Ask which finding explains your symptoms, which part of the proposed operation addresses it and how function will be reviewed afterwards. A cosmetic simulation does not document airflow or replace an examination.
Clarify the role of instruments
The practice describes using conventional instruments and piezo equipment. Ask which structures would be treated with each and why that choice fits your anatomy. Instrument names alone cannot establish the extent of surgery, discomfort, recovery time or the final result.

Clinical interests & published evidence
Evidence reviewed:
A publication on septorhinoplasty and voice
A 2012 Journal of Voice record names Saban Celebi among the authors of a study on septorhinoplasty with spreader grafts and voice. The citation matches the practice’s publication list. It documents research participation, not his current complication rate or a promise of voice improvement. If your work depends on your voice, raise that requirement explicitly.

International information and its limits
The English revision page mentions the UK in a country-level price comparison. That is a marketing signal, not evidence of UK patient volume or a UK clinic. The site links to French, but its French text could not be read during this review; German clinical support was not verified. Confirm consultation, consent and follow-up languages before travelling.

Understanding nasal surgery
Different goals. One carefully considered plan.
A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.
Form
What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?
Breathing
Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?
History
How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?
Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.
Read the procedure, recovery and risk guide
Rhinoplasty: the external shape
Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.
NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
Septoplasty: the internal partition
The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

Revision: understand the earlier operation
If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts
Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.
Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation
Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.
This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.
- 01
Initial care
Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.
- 02
Early review
Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.
- 03
Ongoing healing
Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.
- 04
Continued follow-up
Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery
Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.
Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, Reddit and RealSelf
When researching Şaban Çelebi reviews, separate first operations, revisions and unrelated ENT care. For Reddit or RealSelf accounts, record the operation date, previous surgery and follow-up duration before comparing stories. A term such as “botched” is a search label, not a verified finding about this doctor. Neither selected testimonials nor isolated complaints establish an outcome rate.

Price comparisons are not personal quotations
Çelebi’s revision page publishes broad cost comparisons; this profile does not treat them as his current fee for your case. Request a dated, itemised quotation identifying the operation, hospital, anaesthesia, graft harvesting if proposed, and follow-up. Clarify what changes if the examination changes the plan and which costs remain payable if surgery is postponed.

Instagram images and WhatsApp groups
For images attributed to Şaban Çelebi on Instagram, compare lighting, angles and time since surgery; an image cannot establish breathing function. Verify any contact against current practice information before sharing personal documents. No patient WhatsApp group or administrator is authenticated here. A group invitation or matching account name does not establish clinical oversight, and Rhinoplasty Team Turkey does not arrange this doctor’s appointments.
