Independent doctor profile
Tip support before a technique label
Ozan Erol’s English-language practice separates primary rhinoplasty, revision, tip surgery, septoplasty and turbinate surgery. His research record makes nasal-tip support and dorsal preservation useful topics for consultation. This independent profile helps distinguish those concepts from a personal surgical plan; it does not endorse him or arrange appointments.

Choosing what to preserve and what to rebuild
Tip support: ask what is being preserved or rebuilt
Erol co-authored a study measuring tip resistance during septorhinoplasty. Use that theme to ask how planned septal work, sutures or grafts might change support, rotation and projection. Request the reason for each manoeuvre and the alternatives. A named technique should answer an anatomical problem rather than act as a promise of lasting shape.
Preservation is a choice to justify, not a universal label
His preservation review concerns dorsal aesthetic lines and avoiding widening. Ask what would be retained, lowered or reconstructed in your case and whether previous surgery changes the options. Compare the proposed approach with structural alternatives and ask which breathing concerns require additional assessment. The review does not establish superiority for every patient.

What the study and practice page establish
Evidence reviewed:
A small mechanical study has a specific scope
The tip-support study involved 15 primary open-rhinoplasty patients and measured perioperative resistance. It was not a large long-term comparison of satisfaction, revision risk or all surgical methods. Ask how Erol evaluates your baseline support and what longer-term review he proposes; do not turn its measurements into a personal success percentage.

Confirm the operating hospital before travel
The English biography leaves the operating-hospital name as a placeholder. That is a gap in the public information, not evidence of an unsafe facility. Before arranging travel, obtain the actual hospital name, surgeon, anaesthetist, planned procedures and follow-up contact in writing. An English webpage does not settle these arrangements.

ENT training and international collaboration
- Professional record
ENT qualification at Başkent
His biography records a Gazi medical degree in 2012 and ENT specialist qualification at Başkent in 2018. It describes a Johns Hopkins observership, not a US residency. These distinctions matter when comparing training; neither a qualification nor an observation visit establishes an individual result.

International publication and English access
The 2023 preservation review names Erol alongside authors based in Portugal, Spain and Turkey. Together with the practice’s English pages, it is a verifiable international research signal. It does not show where patients come from or prove clinical access in the UK, Germany or France. Confirm the consultation and consent language.

Technique choice and the named operating hospital
Where is the doctor based?
Istanbul, Turkey
What is the doctor’s specialty?
ENT and head-and-neck surgery · Nasal form and function
Does the preservation review identify the operation I should choose?
No personal treatment choice follows from a review title. Ask which dorsal structures Erol would retain or reconstruct and how prior surgery or your tip support changes that choice. The prospective tip study and the preservation review answer different research questions; neither replaces your examination or the named-hospital agreement.
Can I book this doctor through Rhinoplasty Team Turkey?
No. This is an independent information page. Rhinoplasty Team Turkey does not arrange consultations or treatment with this doctor.
Understanding nasal surgery
Different goals. One carefully considered plan.
A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.
Form
What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?
Breathing
Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?
History
How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?
Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

Rhinoplasty: the external shape
Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.
NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
Septoplasty: the internal partition
The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

Revision: understand the earlier operation
If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts
Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.
Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.
This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.
- 01
Initial care
Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.
- 02
Early review
Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.
- 03
Ongoing healing
Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.
- 04
Continued follow-up
Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery
Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.
Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Look beyond the technique in a review
A RealSelf account mentioning Ozan Erol may describe a nasal operation together with brow, eyelid or other facial surgery. Establish which procedure each photograph and recovery comment concerns. A preservation label in a caption does not verify the internal technique or distinguish the nasal result from a combined operation.

Quote each proposed operation separately
No current individualized rhinoplasty price is verified here. If nasal surgery is discussed with brow, eyelid or other facial surgery, request a clear scope for each and a combined anaesthesia plan. Confirm hospital charges, graft-related costs, cancellation terms and aftercare. A social-media offer or another patient’s price does not establish your total.

Check the exact Ozan Erol identity and clinic recipient before sending information through Instagram or WhatsApp. A profile mentioning the same mentors is not sufficient verification.
