Dr Süreyya Şeneldir

Süreyya Şeneldir is an Istanbul ENT surgeon whose public record combines nasal surgery, a photographic surgical atlas and professional teaching. The useful distinction for a prospective patient is between a published explanation of technique and evidence about their own proposed operation. This profile uses Dr; it does not assign an academic appointment from inconsistent titles.

Education and professional background

  1. 1991

    Medical education and ENT training

His Turkish biography records graduation from Istanbul University in 1991 and ENT specialist training at Haseki Hospital after general surgery training. It also describes seven years of ENT work at Vakıf Gureba Hospital. These are historical career details.

  2. 2012

    Rhinoplasty School

His English biography dates the foundation of Rhinoplasty School to 2012. EAFPS separately lists school and webinar teaching. These records make the educational work identifiable without turning course participation or changing audience totals into a measure of clinical quality.

02

What does the practice focus on?

01

Planning from the anatomical problem

The atlas is organised around nasal problems, including the bridge, tip and supporting structures. For a consultation, bring the features you want to discuss and ask which anatomical findings explain the proposed changes. A familiar technique name or an attractive example photograph cannot answer that question alone.

Clinical interests & published evidence

Evidence reviewed:

A surgical book is an educational record

Springer identifies Şeneldir as author of the second edition of Photographic Atlas of Rhinoplasty, published in January 2025. A book can show how an author explains decisions and difficult cases. It is not a consecutive patient registry: selected illustrations cannot supply a practice-wide complication rate or predict how your tissues will heal.

London teaching remains scheduled

The London Rhinoplasty Course programme lists Şeneldir for 6–7 November 2026, including nasal-tip topics. On this profile’s source-check date, that meeting is still in the future. The listing supports scheduled professional visibility in the UK; it does not verify attendance, UK medical registration or availability for treatment there.

Understanding nasal surgery

Different goals. One carefully considered plan.

A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.

Three questions for an individual assessment
01

Form

What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?

02

Breathing

Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?

03

History

How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?

Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

01

Rhinoplasty: the external shape

Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.

02

Septoplasty: the internal partition

The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

03

Revision: understand the earlier operation

If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts

Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.

Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.

This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.

  1. 01

    Initial care

Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.

  2. 02

    Early review

Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.

  3. 03

    Ongoing healing

Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.

  4. 04

    Continued follow-up

Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery

Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.

Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity

Read photographs alongside patient accounts

When researching Şeneldir reviews on Reddit, RealSelf or elsewhere, separate patient accounts from teaching images and practice-selected galleries. Look for the operation date, whether it was a first or revision procedure, and the follow-up interval. Neither a compelling story nor a striking atlas image establishes how representative an experience is.

An atlas price is not a surgical quotation

No individual surgical price is established by these sources. Book and course prices concern educational products. For an operation, request an itemised quotation naming the surgeon, hospital, anaesthesia, planned graft work and follow-up. Ask how a changed plan after examination would affect the total and the cancellation terms.

Teaching visibility and online representation

The course programme identifies a speaker, not every account or person using his name. Before relying on a social-media reply, establish who is speaking and whether advice has been reviewed by the treating surgeon. This profile does not authenticate private patient groups, allocate social handles or endorse an intermediary.
