Education and professional background
- 2002 · 2007
Medical and specialist training
Medipol records his medical degree at Cerrahpaşa in 2002 and ENT specialist training at Haseki completed in 2007. These dated qualifications establish the training pathway. They do not quantify present rhinoplasty volume or the likelihood of a particular cosmetic or functional outcome.

Current institutional listing
The Medipol biography dates his appointment as ENT professor to 2022, and the current ENT roster separately lists him. This is stronger support for the present title than an older course page. Confirm the actual operating hospital and treating team in your own care plan rather than inferring them from the university name alone.

What does the practice focus on?
Primary surgery and reconstruction ask different questions
Medipol’s description includes reconstruction of noses affected by previous reduction or shortening. For a revision consultation, ask which structure is deficient and what can realistically be restored. For a first operation, ask how the plan preserves support. The complexity of a published practice interest does not determine the right operation for every patient.

Clinical interests & published evidence
Evidence reviewed:
A measurement study, not an outcome comparison
Soylu co-authored a study published on 22 December 2025 in Diagnostics. It examined 35 primary-rhinoplasty patients, comparing nasal measurements upright, lying down before anaesthesia and lying down after anaesthesia. Its question concerns measurement conditions, not superior surgical outcomes. Ask how the team makes photographs and measurements comparable before, during and after your operation.

Nosecraft provides a dated teaching reference
EAFPS lists Erkan Soylu as director of Nosecraft 2026, scheduled for 27–29 March in Istanbul. This records an organising role for a specific professional event. It does not establish the number or origin of patients in his practice, and no UK patient-demand estimate is inferred from international teaching visibility.

A course syllabus explains what is taught
Medipol’s continuing-education page describes an English-language rhinoplasty course combining theory with an open-approach live demonstration. The page still uses an older associate-professor title. Read it as a teaching description, not a current appointment record or a promise that every patient receives the same approach. Ask why the proposed access fits your anatomy.

Understanding nasal surgery
Different goals. One carefully considered plan.
A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.
Form
What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?
Breathing
Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?
History
How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?
Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

Rhinoplasty: the external shape
Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.
NHS · Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty)
Septoplasty: the internal partition
The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

Revision: understand the earlier operation
If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts
Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.
Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.
This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.
- 01
Initial care
Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.
- 02
Early review
Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.
- 03
Ongoing healing
Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.
- 04
Continued follow-up
Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.
ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery
Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.
Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity
Look for the reconstruction context in reviews
Soylu’s published practice scope includes substantial revision work. When reading Reddit, RealSelf or social-media accounts, check the starting problem, prior operations and follow-up period before comparing photographs. An early appearance after reconstruction and a later healed view answer different questions. No rating, representative patient group or audited practice outcome is established here.

Distinguish hospital care from training offers
A course page’s fee or “free” label is unrelated to a patient’s operation. No individual surgical quotation was verified. Ask for a written medical total covering surgeon, hospital, anaesthesia, possible graft harvesting and follow-up, with travel services separately identified. Clarify how unplanned hospital care and an assessment after returning home would be arranged and charged.

A hospital listing does not validate every account
Use the current Medipol record to distinguish the surgeon from similarly named accounts, then establish who is answering an enquiry. A conference role does not authenticate an agent, social-media page or private group. Confirm who can explain the clinical plan and issue the hospital’s written arrangements; this independent page provides no booking or intermediary endorsement.
