Independent doctor profile

Prof. Dr. Cemal Cingi

Eskişehir Osmangazi University identifies Cemal Cingi as a professor in ENT and lists rhinology, allergy, rhinoplasty, allergic rhinitis, experimental ENT and facial aesthetics among his academic interests. His university research record and a PubMed-indexed review on paediatric septoplasty show a broad scholarly focus. This profile distinguishes that evidence from claims about cosmetic outcomes and does not represent or book him.

Education and professional background

  1. Current university role

Professor in the ESOGÜ Faculty of Medicine

The university’s own profile names Cingi as an ENT professor. The hospital department describes a teaching and clinical service covering nasal, sinus and facial reconstructive work. These institutional pages support his current academic context; they do not identify a private package or guarantee who would take part in a particular case.

  2. Research record

Rhinology alongside allergy and facial aesthetics

ESOGÜ explicitly lists rhinology, rhinoplasty and facial aesthetics with allergy and experimental ENT among his interests. AVESIS catalogues a wider publication record. Ask which part of that broad portfolio is relevant to your diagnosis rather than treating every listed interest as evidence of the same type or volume of surgery.

02

What does the practice focus on?

01

Separate inflammation from structural obstruction

Because Cingi’s academic interests include allergic rhinitis as well as rhinoplasty, a useful consultation should distinguish mucosal symptoms from septal, valve or external-shape findings. Ask what can be managed medically, what needs structural correction and how each problem will be measured before considering an aesthetic plan.

02

Use paediatric septoplasty research within its limits

The 2016 publication is a review of indications and growth considerations in children. It demonstrates authorship on septal surgery, but it is not an adult cosmetic-rhinoplasty outcome study. If the patient is young, ask how age, growth and consent affect the plan; for an adult, ask for case-specific evidence instead.

Clinical interests & published evidence

Evidence reviewed:

Rhinology, allergy and rhinoplasty are related but distinct

ESOGÜ names rhinology, allergy, rhinoplasty, allergic rhinitis, experimental ENT and facial aesthetics among Cingi’s interests. This combination makes differential assessment important: congestion driven by mucosal inflammation is not the same as a septal, valve or external-framework problem. Ask which finding supports each proposed treatment.

What the paediatric septoplasty review can and cannot show

The 2016 PubMed-indexed review discusses indications, nasal growth and septal-surgery considerations in children. It demonstrates authorship in a defined academic topic. It does not report Cingi’s adult cosmetic-rhinoplasty results, establish a preferred technique for every age or replace an examination of growth, symptoms and consent in a young person.

Understanding nasal surgery

Different goals. One carefully considered plan.

A useful consultation separates what you would like to change from what an examination can establish. The guide below explains the vocabulary used in nasal surgery. It is general education, not a description of this doctor’s personal technique or a recommendation for your case.

Three questions for an individual assessment
01

Form

What would you like to change about your nose within the proportions of your face?

02

Breathing

Which symptoms need an internal examination and discussion of possible causes?

03

History

How do previous treatment, health and expectations inform the discussion?

Conceptual planning diagram, not a diagnostic image or a prediction of surgical results.

01

Rhinoplasty: the external shape

Rhinoplasty changes the shape or size of the nose. Open and closed describe access through different incision patterns; these words alone do not tell you what structural work is planned. Ask your surgeon to explain the proposed changes, their limitations and why that access suits your anatomy.

02

Septoplasty: the internal partition

The septum divides the two nasal passages. A deviation can contribute to obstruction, but an off-centre septum does not always cause symptoms. Assessment considers other contributors, including the turbinates and nasal valves. Septoplasty addresses the septum; a combined septorhinoplasty also addresses the external nose.

03

Revision: understand the earlier operation

If you have already had surgery, make that clear at the outset and bring any available operative records. A useful consultation should distinguish the concern you see today from the correction being proposed. Ask what can realistically change, what may remain and whether further surgery is appropriate at all.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation; editorial consultation prompts

Arrive with a history, leave with clear questions.

Prepare your medical conditions, allergies, current medicines and supplements, smoking or alcohol history and previous procedures. Describe both appearance and breathing concerns. The consultation should include examination, available options and an explanation of risks. Do not change prescribed medicines yourself; ask the treating team for individual instructions.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty consultation

Recovery is a sequence, not a reveal.

This visual is an orientation to follow-up, not a fixed timetable. The treating surgeon determines your care and review schedule.

  1. 01

    Initial care

Splints or dressings may protect the nose. Obtain written instructions on care, medicines and the next review.

  2. 02

    Early review

Ask who removes dressings or sutures, when you can resume activities and whom to contact with concerns.

  3. 03

    Ongoing healing

Swelling changes over time; refinement can take up to a year. An early photograph is not the final assessment.

  4. 04

    Continued follow-up

Confirm how reviews continue after you return home and how persistent concerns will be assessed.

ASPS · Rhinoplasty recovery

Discuss the trade-offs before deciding.

Possible risks include breathing difficulty, infection, altered sensation, scarring, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance and further surgery. Anaesthesia has its own risks. Ask which are relevant to your health and proposed operation, how complications would be managed and what alternatives are available.

Reviews, fees & online identity

Reviews must match doctor, diagnosis and treatment

When reading Cemal Cingi reviews on Reddit, RealSelf or other sites, verify that the account concerns him rather than the ESOGÜ department, and separate allergy care, sinus treatment and rhinoplasty. Compare the timing of surgery and follow-up. A mix of diagnoses cannot be converted into a personal score or outcome rate.

Price depends on diagnosis and care setting

No current personal fee for Cingi is verified. A consultation for allergic rhinitis, septal surgery and a combined functional-aesthetic operation are different services. Request a dated quotation after assessment that identifies procedure, responsible surgeon, hospital, anaesthesia, testing and follow-up. A forum price or another patient’s invoice is not your quote.

Academic identity, Instagram and private groups

The primary identity anchors are ESOGÜ’s professor and hospital records. This review does not authenticate a personal Instagram account or a patient WhatsApp group. Do not use a display name, follower count or group invitation as proof of clinical identity. A “botched” search is not an allegation or finding; investigate a concern through records and clinical assessment.
